TED.com is a remarkable website. It's compelling, insightful and its content is virtually guaranteed to make someone stop and think. TED.com provides free, streaming, video presentations by a wide variety of business, social and political leaders on important topics ... hence the strapline 'ideas worth spreading'. Think of it as recorded keynote speakers. To encourage video viewing by the public then TED.com presents the talks in easy categories ...
TED.com groups presentations in different ways such as per traditional sector such as technology, business, design or per theme such as A Greener Future or Master Storytellers, or per talk or per speaker.
Popular presentations are listed per Top 10 TED.com talks. Personally, from my initial encounter with the website, I found the following to be interesting:
- Al Gore: New Thinking on the Climate Crisis
- Nicholas Negroponte: One Laptop per Child
- Malcolm Gladwell: Learning from spaghetti sauce

Ah Ted, boy do they have some fantastic videos. The one this week about the korean girl was very moving - a very high standard, I was going to list a few of my favourites but can think of 4 or 5 without blinking, so I'll refrain and just add my agreement (violent) of how amazing and valuable the site is.
